In response to a petition filed by Congress leader Ajay Maken, the Delhi High Court on Monday asked the AAP Government to submit a report regarding the releasing of funds for dengue.
"We were told that Rs. 81.4 crore was allocated for the Dengue Control programme. The funds have not yet been released to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The MCD is using this as an excuse for not working," said Maken's lawyer Aman Panwar.

He further said that the funds were not being released due to internal tussle between the AAP Government and the MCD.
"We have told the court that this huge sum would become useless if not put to use now as the dengue season will last only for a few more weeks," he added.

The case will be next heard on September 24.
