Devendra Kumar Pathak new Director General of Border Security Force

Senior IPS officer Devendra Kumar Pathak has been appointed to the post of Director General, Border Security Force (BSF).

A 1979-batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadres, he was presently working as the Special DG, of the BSF and he is due to retire in February, 2016.

The press release of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday said the appointment would be with immediate effect and till the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
