Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday said there is no one in the Congress party who can save it in the Lok Sabha elections, and asked people to give it such a farewell that they don't come back to power in seven generations.
"It is very difficult for them to survive this time. There is no one who can save the Congress now," Modi said while addressing a rally here today.
"A group which doesn't even have the power to save the party, how will they save the country?" he asked.
Modi also said that now it is to be seen what kind of farewell will be given to the Congress, and asked people to give the Congress such a farewell that they do not come back to power in seven generations.
Referring to recent Naval accidents, Modi said: "The soldiers who are guarding us from the sky are falling and those who are guarding us from the submarines and ships are drowning. Soldiers are dying either in explosions or they are being killed by the enemy and terrorists. One cannot say 'Jai Jawan' in the present situation.
"On the other hand the farmers are feeding the country for so many years but today they are committing suicide. How can we say 'Jai Kisan' in such a country where lakhs of farmers are committing suicide?" he added.
"The government in Delhi only believes in 'Mar Jawan, Mar Kisan'," he added.
He said that if the country has to be saved then it is necessary to save the farmers and the soldiers.
"Since 2004 Sonia Gandhi is ruling the country and the 'Shehzada' (Rahul) is having fun. They haven't done anything but he speaks like he has come from Mars," said Modi.
Commenting on the statement that 'power is poison', Modi asked, "Who has been in power the maximum - the Congress and therefore who has tasted poison the most....in whose stomach is maximum poison?"
He also said that the Congress had promised to curb inflation and create employment in the country but it has failed in it. He appealed to the people to give all the 25 Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan to the BJP so as to enable a strong government come to power in Delhi.
