Singer Ed Sheeran is ready to show his acting skills with his newly landed role in FX's upcoming drama series 'The Bastard Executioner.'
According to Entertainment Weekly, the 24-year-old Emmy-winning 'Photograph' singer will have a recurring role in the show by 'Sons of Anarchy' creator Kurt Sutter as Sir Cormac, an "ambitious and deadly protege of a high-ranking church
elder."
The story follows a 14th century knight, played by 'True Blood' star Stephen Moyer, who becomes an executioner.
This adds to the TV deals that Sheeran has been making lately, as the singer had appeared on NBC's 'Undateable' earlier this year, and had announced a live concert special to be aired on NBC later this summer.
'Bastard Executioner' is expected to launch this fall.
