Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Michael Chabon has been roped in to write Disney's musical comedy, "Bob the Musical' along with the Songwriter Bret McKenzie, who will pen songs for the venture.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project had been in development since at least 2004, but now has a renewed voice with director Michel Hazanavicius, who helmed the Oscar-winning film 'The Artist'.
Tom Cruise has reportedly grabbed the main lead for the musical comedy which Tripp Vinson, Chris Bender, JC Spink and Beau Flynn will produce.
Scribes Mike Bender, John August and Lowell Ganz, and Babaloo Mandel had worked on the script over the years.
