Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy said here on Saturday that the first National University for skill development would be set up in Bihar.
He further said that in the next five years 300 million youth would have to be trained.
Assuming that an average of 20,000 rupees is required in the skill training of one person, Rudy said the country would require 6 lakh crore rupees for the training.
Rudy even expressed regret that of 126 crore Indian population, only three percent were subjected to skill training when countries like South Korea, Japan, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, and China were far ahead in numbers.
