Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff claimed two wickets in his first county game since 2009 as Lancashire defeated Worcestershire in the Twenty20 Blast.
Flintoff, who retired from the sport in 2010 after his last domestic T20 appearance a year earlier, was not required to bat as county club Lancashire piled up 229-4, with Ashwell Prince scoring 68 off 43 balls.
According to the BBC, Flintoff gave figures of 2-36 as he bowled Tom Kohler-Cadmore and had Alexei Kervezee caught as Worcestershire fell 50 runs short on 179-7.
Flintoff's teammate Jos Buttler said that it was something he never thought he would say that he played in the same team as the all-rounder, adding that he is a legend of English cricket and one has got to pinch himself that he is playing in the same team.
It was Lancashire's seventh victory in nine T20 Blast games this season and enabled them to leapfrog the home side to the top of the North group table.
Having announced his comeback in May, Flintoff was in the squad for a number of recent fixtures without making Lancashire's final XI, but was included this time in place of Arron Lilley.
In his last Twenty20 appearance five years ago, Flintoff had hit six sixes and nine fours in an innings of 93 off 41 balls at Derbyshire, the report added.
