Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who earlier had claimed that Jesus was white, has now admitted that may not be the case.
Kelly had also said that Santa Clause- a fictional character - was also a white, however response to her comments had ranged from outrage to ridicule to some serious commentary on the history of both individuals.
She responded on Friday that humour was part of what they were trying to bring to the show, asserting that sometimes that's lost on the humorless.
Kelly said that this would be funny if it were not so telling about their society.
However, she did say that she had been wrong to assert that Jesus was white, Christian Science Monitor reported.
But she did acknowledge that the question of Jesus' race was far from settled.
