Paul Feig, the director of third installment of 'Ghostbusters' has confirmed that the movie will feature hilarious female in the lead.
'Bridesmaids' director Feig confirmed the news on Twitter saying that it was official and he was writing the story with Katie Dippold, E!Online reported.
Feig recently said that the fun thing about the movie was there were so many different directions it could go and there were so many funny women in Hollywood.
Dippold, has earlier penned for 'The Heat' and previously wrote for MadTV, and has found success in female-led comedy, the Verge reported.
The production of the third 'Ghostbusters' film has been delayed for various reasons from last two decades.
