'Groundhog Day' is all set to come to Broadway in spring 2017.
The new musical version of the hit 1993 comdey, is being made by creators of Broadway's 'Matilda,' including director Matthew Warchus, composer-lyricist Tim Minchin, choreographer Peter Darling and set and costume designer Rob Howell, the Variety reported.
Book writer Danny Rubin, who co-wrote the 'Groundhog Day' screenplay with Harold Ramis and is credited with the original story, and Whistle Pig Prods., Scott Rudin and Columbia Stage Live are producing the project.
The previews will begin on Jan. 23, 2017, ahead of opening on March 9, 2017.
