The 'India Show' kicked off in Lahore, Pakistan, on February 14, with an objective to strengthen bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

Senior vice president of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Jyotsna Suri, inaugurated the event.

She stressed on the need to remove trade bottlenecks between the two countries.

"The India Show in Pakistan provides a common platform to enhance trade between our two nations, resulting in new business tie ups and ventures. Though bilateral trade has shown an annual growth of 25 percent in the last ten years, experts' project this could be multiplied ten times," said Suri.

The centre of attraction at this trade show is the embroidery work on Indian dresses like Chicken work, Kasidakari or Meenakari on jewellery.

The first day of the event witnessed a huge response from locals, and many of them were seen acquiring details about Indian products and services.

"The collection is beautiful and very good. We were waiting for it for a long time. We came here by taking off time from our work to look at them," said Fatima Ali, a visitor.

Over 100 Indian companies are participating in the event with the hope of exploring new markets.

"Our products are in much demand here. Customers like our products. We have so many clients here, and we are trying to have more clients," said Indian shopkeeper Amit Goyal.

The three-day 'India Show' will conclude on February 16.
