World No. 1 Serena Williams is reportedly still in doubt about defending her Italian Open title as American tennis ace continues to recover from a thigh injury.
Williams, who withdrew ahead of her quarterfinal in Madrid last week but has travelled to Rome where she is due to begin her campaign on Wednesday, said that she is taking it a day at a time and they will see about her title defense as the week goes on.
According to the BBC, Williams said that she would see how she feels on Tuesday, adding that she practiced a little bit so she is going to see later how it feels.
Meanwhile Swiss tennis ace Roger Federer and Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic are reportedly set to play in Rome after missing Madrid.
Moreover Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has been drawn in the same quarter as Nadal in Rome, the report added.
