Get set to go gaga at the Super Bowl next year.Lady Gaga has finally confirmed in a tweet that she will be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show when February 5, 2017 hits calendars.
The 'Perfect Illusion' singer posted the announcement on Instagram, "It's not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA."
In another video post, the pop superstar showed the official announcement appearing on a laptop screen and written alongside, "GET READY LITTLE MONSTERS!! WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!TOGETHER!!! #halftimeshow #Gaga #superbowl51 @nfl #perfectillusion."
According to a report on E! Online, previous rumors suggested that Adele was in talks to perform. However, the NFL later denied about offering the half-time stage of Super Bowl 51 to be held on February 5 next year to the 28-year-old 'Someone Like You' singer.
The Grammy Awards winner had kicked off the last Super Bowl 50. Clad in a shimmering red Gucci pantsuit, the 'Machete Kills' actress delivered an incredible rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'
For the unversed, the Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League, the highest level of professional American football in the world.
At that time, she was reported to have said, "I've always wanted to sing the national anthem at a major sporting event since I was a little girl, and for it to be the Super Bowl, it is . one of the highest honors."
As for what the 'Bad Romance' singer will do during her time on stage, between her old favorites including 'Just Dance' to her latest single titled 'Perfect Illusion,' there's lots of great material to work with.
