Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J. Jayalalithaa has been hospitalised in Chennai Apollo Hospital since last night after she complained of fever and dehydration.
The hospital management has clarified that the condition of the 68-year old leader is stable and under observation.
Many of the state ministers and party leaders are gathering at the hospital and hundreds of party cadres are also thronging the Greams Road main branch of the hospital where Jayalalithaa is admitted.
The police have tightened security near the premises and traffic is being regulated. The party functionaries are reassuring the cadres through media that the condition of the Chief Minister is improving.
