Joan Rivers' daughter has revealed that her condition is still serious, but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible.

Melissa Rivers said that her mom would be very touched by the tributes and prayers that they have received from around the world, Deadline.com reported.

She added that she asks people to keep the 81-year-old actress in their thoughts as the family prays for her recovery.

Rivers was rushed to hospital when she had stopped breathing during a reported throat procedure at a clinic in New York and was put into medically induced coma.
