Julia Roberts has been appointed as the new face of Givenchy.
The brand's first shot of Spring 2015 campaign shows the 47-year-old actress in a black and white picture, boasting natural beauty in a sleek tuxedo, E! Online reported.
While talking to Yahoo Style, creative director Riccardo Tisci revealed that Roberts, who's a mother-of-three was his first choice for the campaign because she represented "such a mature woman."
He said that while people, generally saw the brand as "haute couture," in Roberts he saw strength and beauty as an actress and an American woman, and he wanted to show the woman who was "beautiful, talented, but also unpretentious."
The ageless 'Pretty Woman' star too revealed that in a recent conversation with her sister, who wondered how she was being turned into a supermodel at almost 50.
Roberts said that though she actually like the pictures showed her, she thought the shots were great and the clothes she wore in them would have the ones she would have chosen for herself.
