Juventus bagged their third straight and 30th overall Italian title without even playing, as rivals Roma suffered a shocking defeat at Catania.

The second position holder, Roma faced a shocking 4-1 defeat against Catania giving Jeventus a lead of eight points.

According to The BBC, Roma skipper Francesco Totti halved the deficit before half time, but Gonzalo Bergessio and Pablo Barrientos clinched Catania's win after the break.

Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon said that it is much more satisfying when they win on the pitch. But it's still very gratifying.
