One militant has been shot dead by the security forces in the ongoing firing in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.
Earlier this morning, unidentified gunmen opened fire at the Rajbagh police station in the state's Kathua district, killing one policeman and injuring nine people.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has instructed the Jammu and Kashmir Home Secretary to actively monitor the situation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is also in touch with the agencies of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the Jammu-Pathankot national highway has been closed due to the attack.
