In the wake of escalating cases of dengue in the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday instructed the party MLAs to visit government hospitals.
"The Chief Minister has instructed all the MLAs to visit hospitals in their region. The MLAs can go only to government hospitals," Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain told ANI after the meeting of Rogi Kalyan Committee with Delhi Government officials.
Meanwhile, the Central Government has asked the Delhi Government to increase the bed strength in the hospitals and to initiate action against the private hospitals, which are over- charging the patients.
"Seeing the recent spurt of cases of dengue, the Delhi Government has been told to increase the bed strength. At the same time, Central Government hospitals are underway to increase the bed strengths," said Union Health Minister J.P.Nadda.
