A landmine blast on Tuesday in the Maoist-inflicted area of Khunti district in Jharkhand injured three officers on duty.
The blast took place near the Murhu police station in the Kotna village where the officers were engaged in anti-Maoist operations. The blast took place as soon as their car reached the Kotna village.
Superintendent of police, Anees Gupta, threw more light on the incident.
"The landmine blast took place near Koinara. In the attack, a station incharge, a soldier and a driver who were in their car have been injured. They have been given first aid and sent(away for further treatment). The doctor has said that they are out of danger,"he said.
For better treatment, they have now been sent to Apollo hospital in Ranchi.
Gupta also said they are inspecting the side of the blast. Operations and raids against the Maoists have been taking place in the area.
