Liverpool has cancelled the talks over new contract with forward Raheem Sterling after his agent Aidy Ward attacked the club, saying that the Winger would not be signing any new agreement.

Ward, who represents Sterling, was supposed to meet Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre on Friday to discuss his client's contract situation.

But after Ward's comments, the club has decided to keep the talks on hold, the Guardian reported.

Ward had earlier commented that the England footballer would not be joining the club, even if they pay him 9,00,000 pounds a week.

He added that he did not care about what other's thought of him.

Manchester City and Chelsea were also in line to sign the England Winger, who recently rejected a five-year, 100,000 pounds a week offer from Liverpool.
