Saina seeded second in Australian Open

Ace shuttler and defending champion Saina Nehwal has been seeded second in the women's single competition of the 750,000 US dollar Australian Open Super Series Badminton tournament, which will be held from May 26 to May 31.

World number two Nehwal defeated Spaniard Carolina Marin to clinch the trophy last year.

The tournament will start in Sydney. Nehwal will begin her campaign against a yet to be decided qualifier.
