Researches have found the mysterious blue dye, called tekhelet in Hebrew, described in the Bible.

An Israeli researcher has claimed to have found the 2,000-year old textile which contains the dye making it one of the few remnants of the ancient color ever found, Fox News reported.

Naama Sukenik of Israel's Antiquities Authority said that they found the dye from the Murex trunculus while examining a small woolen textile discovered in the 1950s.

Sukenik examined the textile for a doctorate at Bar-Ilan University and published the finding at a recent Jerusalem conference.
