Actress Kim Basinger was madly in love with the fuchsia-loving funkster Prince, so much so, that she turned into a rebel.

In 1989, a year before the 62-year-old actress met her former hubby Alec Baldwin, love made her turn down Hollywood and move to the 'Purple Rain' hit-maker's hometown of Minneapolis to be with him, reports New York Post.

The situation tuned such worse that Basinger's family, who felt Prince had her under spell, once reached the singer's house unannounced and whisked her away when he was absent.

To mark their love, the '8 Mile' actress made a never-released album with the 'Little Red Corvette' singer, titled 'Hollywood Affair,' where she rapped "I'll be your slave" and "I like the way you make me feel.
