Macaulay Culkin charges father with abuse

'Home Alone' child star Macaulay Culkin has alleged that his father, Kit Culkin, abused him 'mentally and physically' so much, that it led the actor to leave Hollywood.

The 37-year-old revealed that his father was 'jealous' of him and use to threatened him by saying, "Do good or I'll hit you," reports Metro.co.uk.

Calling him a "bad man",' the 'My Girl' star said, "He was abusive. Physically and mentally. I can show you all my scars if I wanted to".

The child actor shot to fame in 'Uncle Buck' in 1989 and then in 1990's 'Home Alone' as Kevin McCallister.

"Everything he tried to do in life, I excelled at before I was 10 years old," Culkin said of his father on the podcast, before calling their 1994 divorce 'one of the best things that's ever happened".

His last role as a child actor was in 1994's Richie Rich, and he didn't chart another acting gig for nine years until 2003's Party Monster.

Macaulay's father is yet to respond to this latest claim.
