Major roads in Dhaka will remain off limits for commuters during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to Bangladesh to make his trip safe.
The Daily Star quoted a top traffic police official, as saying that security will be tight on all roads, which will be manned by personnel of the Special Security Force.
Traffic on the roads will be restricted for a longer period of time than on usual days.
Street vendors in several areas of the capital have also been asked to vacate footpaths.
Modi will be under the security cover of the Indian Special Protection Group and commando force Black Cat during his two-day visit to Bangladesh.
