Makers release 1st trailer of Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks starrer 'The Post'

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer of the much awaited Steven Spielberg's upcoming drama 'The Post' starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.

Spielberg's timely new drama is based on the true story of the Pentagon Papers, the largest leak of confidential material in U.S. history, which spanned decades.

The trailer, however, indicates that this is a story as relevant as today's headlines.

"If we don't hold them accountable, who will?" the Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks) asks his publisher, Katharine Graham (Meryl Streep), to which she replies, "We can't hold them accountable if we don't have a paper."

The cast also includes Carrie Coon, Alison Brie, David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Matthew Rhys, Jesse Plemons and Bradley Whitford.
