England striker Wayne Rooney is set to pocket a new contract worth 52 million-pounds at Manchester United as the club looks to offer him a new four-year deal.
According to Metro.co.uk, it's claimed that the Old Trafford club are already in the process of putting together the paperwork, which would see Rooney pocket 52 million-pounds in wages and bonuses across the length of the deal.
The 28-year-old is seen as a crucial part of David Moyes' plans moving forward, and the former Everton boss is keen to conclude the extension before the January transfer window, the report said.
Rooney currently has around 18 months left on his United contract, which is worth about 250,000 pounds-a-week, the report said.
The forward has scored five goals and bagged four assists in 10 matches this term, the report added.
