Manmohan Singh arrives in China

The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, arrived here on Tuesday for a two-day visit to China.

Dr. Singh is scheduled to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang. The Prime Minister will also be hosted at a dinner by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Several agreements in areas like trade, economy, culture and people-to-people contacts are expected to be signed between the two sides after the talks.

This is the Prime Minister's second visit to Beijing. Dr. Singh had previously visited China in January 2008.
