American journalist Glenn Greenwald, who helped reveal the alleged US spy ops as given by whistleblower Edward Snowden, has reportedly claimed that there is more to come about the alleged programmes.

Greenwald, who recently quit his job at the Guardian newspaper, said that the upcoming reports will be as significant as the earlier revelations about the NSA allegedly collecting millions of phone records in France.

According to stuff.co.nz, Greenwald said that he's committed to reporting on every document given to him by Snowden.

The revelations by Snowden have caused a stir amongst privacy and security groups who have been long arguing about the extent to which surveillance should be carried out on citizens.

Greenwald further said that there is a 'sustained attack' on press freedom in the US and criticized the British government for asking the Guardian newspaper to destroy data leaked by Snowden.

Snowden has been charged for espionage in the US and is currently granted a temporary asylum in Russia for a period of one year.
