Manohar Parrikar arrives in Goa, expected to table budget

Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar, who was recently hospitalised in Mumbai, got discharged from Lilavati Hospital and reached Goa on Thursday.

He arrived in Goa at 11:40 am by a special flight and left for Panaji in a private car.

The Budget session of the Goa Legislative Assembly, which began on February 19, is expected to be out today by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was undergoing treatment for pancreatitis at the hospital.

Speaker Pramod Sawant, who chaired a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), after Governor Mridula Sinha addressed the House, however said the Budget would be presented on February 22, the last day of the session.

Michael Lobo, Deputy Speaker told ANI at the state assembly complex, "All prayers have been heard. He is currently at home now. He has strong willpower, so he may present the budget.
