Maoists torched 32 vehicles on Monday in Amas near Bihar's Gaya District, following a police encounter near Sondhi village in Barachatti police station area of the district yesterday.
"They stopped our car at 1:00 a.m and asked if we knew them. We said no, then they told us that they are Maoists. They asked us to get out of the car and go inside the building. After that they set our car on fire," said an eyewitness.
The Maoists have also announced a two-day shutdown in Bihar and Jharkhand.
Earlier on Sunday, a woman Maoist, dressed in black combat uniform, was killed in the encounter with a combined team of CRPF and district police.
