Hundreds of members of the Gujjar community continued their agitation in Sikandra region of Rajasthan on Monday, demanding 5% reservation in government jobs.

The protesters had earlier threatened to expand the demonstration across the state alleging that the state government has failed to offer any concrete proposal to meet their demands.

The agitators, who started their protest on May 21, had also blocked railway tracks in Bharatpur district as part of their protest, affecting rail traffic and causing inconvenience to passengers.

As per reports, another round of talks may be held between the state government and agitating Gujjar leaders today.

Gurjar leader Col. Kirodi Singh Bainsla has, however, stated that the agitation won't end until their demand is accepted.
