Australian batsman Shaun Marsh has reportedly been reinstated to the Australian Test squad for the three-match series against South Africa as a replacement for injured all-rounder Shane Watson.
Marsh, who had spent Friday night celebrating following the Perth Scorchers' victory over Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League final, was rushed to South Africa shortly before midnight on Saturday.
According to News.com.au, Marsh was selected in the original 15-man squad before being ruled unfit to tour after suffering a calf injury in the ODI series against England, although he made a rapid recovery and top-scored with an unbeaten 63 off 43 balls in the BBL final to prove his fitness.
Watson has been ruled out of the First Test in Pretoria beginning on Wednesday with a calf injury, the report added.
