Soft driks giant Coca Cola's refusal to end its sponsorship of Sochi Winter Olympic Games is angering the global gay community.

The LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual and transgendered) community wants Coke to exit from the games over Russia's continued persecution of homosexuals and trans people, reports the Daily Star.

Harrowing videos of homophobic attacks and beatings have surfaced on YouTube, but Coca-Cola has refused to remove its funding.

The LGBT community says it is disgusted and some see Coke's continued funding as a complete abandonment of support for them.
