Matt Smith set to star in 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'
Matt Smith has been recently added to the starcast of upcoming movie 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith novel also includes Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote and Douglas Booth.
The movie directed by Burr Steers is a horror-comedy spin on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and would depict the story of Liz Bennett played by James, who is pressured by her family to marry into a wealthy upper-class home but chafes at the stiff social mores of Victorian England. Instead, she feels that she should help defend the countryside against the onslaught of a horrifying zombie plague.
The 'Doctor Who' actor would play Mr. Collins, a parson who was on the lookout for a wife and proposes to Bennett.
