Melissa Rivers has hired a law firm to file a medical malpractice and wrongful death lawsuit against the clinic and doctors involved in her mother Joan Rivers' recent death.
A source said that the 46-year-old actress retained the firm Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, Mackauf, Bloom and Rubinowitz on October 28, but the suit will not be filed for around a month, TMZ.com reported.
According to the sources, lawyers, who want phone logs and other documents for investigation, are sending out letters to the various people involved in the fatal medical procedure, telling them not to destroy records involving Joan's treatment.
The 81-year-old TV host died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sep 04, 2014.
