Barcelona star forward Lionel Messi has expressed his desire to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team before losing the Ballon d'Or award to the Portuguese international.
The Argentine talisman, who came second in Ballon d'Or standing for the second year running, said that he had been fortunate enough to be able to play with many good players and obviously he would love to play with Ronaldo, the Mirror reported.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has set his eyes on equaling Messi to claim a fourth crown, saying that it was an unforgettable moment, but he was not going to stop there as he want to catch Messi.
The pair have hogged the limelight for each of the past seven years, with Ronaldo winning the award in 2008, 2013 and 2014, and Messi claiming the gong in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
