Australian Test legend Michael Hussey has reportedly signed on with Cricket Australia (CA) to help mentor the nest generation of batsmen in a consultant's role.

Hussey has accepted a job at the new National Cricket Centre in Brisbane, where he will mentor the next intake of young batsmen and work with the Australia A and the national women's team, the Southern Stars.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Hussey, whose ability to build an innings in all three formats has been missed since his retirement last summer, said that he is looking forward to help the youngsters as he feels he can work on both the technical and mental side of the game, dealing with pressure situations and the art of batting.

Stating that adapting between the three forms of the game is quite challenging for the modern player, Hussey however, said that he believes the basics are still the same, adding that he is hoping to pass on his experiences of playing all the three formats and dealing with the 'chop ands change'.

Although the report mentioned that the consultant's role, alongside head coach Troy Cooley and batting coach Graeme Hick, would not clash with a mooted return to the Western Australian team, however, Hussey has abandoned the idea because of a family commitment.
