The wreckage of a passenger plane that crashed into the side of a snow-covered mountain in Nepal, killing all 18 people on board, have been located in the western district of Arghakhanchi.

The Nepal Airlines plane was flying from the resort city of Pokhara to Jumla when its contact was lost shortly after take-off on Sunday.

According to the BBC, an aviation official said the plane appeared to have crashed into a hill.

He added that a helicopter searching for the plane identified the burning wreckage and search officials believed there were no survivors.
