Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray has said that he will compete in the Australian Open early next year only if he is 100 percent fit after his recent back surgery.
According to the BBC, Murray, 26, will miss the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London but wants to be ready for the first Grand Slam of 2014 in Melbourne in January.
He said that he has been in the swimming pool and on the bike a little bit but it is still going to be four or five weeks until he is back on the tennis court and hitting some balls.
Murray, who received an OBE from Prince William at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, pulled out of the French Open in May because of the injury, the report said.
He recovered in time to become Britain's first male Wimbledon singles' champion since 1936, the report added.
His defence of the US Open ended in the quarterfinals, but he helped Great Britain beat Croatia in the Davis Cup before surgery, according to the report.
Murray tweeted a picture of himself in hospital with his thumbs up after the operation, the report mentioned.
