Nepal PM asks Madhesi, other ethnic protesters to come forward for talks

Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has urged all agitating parties to address their issues through talks.

Addressing members of parliament, Oli promised that his government would fulfill all genuine demands of Madhesi and other ethnic groups protesters, even through an amendment to the Constitution, if needed, The Himalayan Times reported.

The Prime Minister, however, said that the protesters have to accept the Constitution, as it was drafted by the elected representatives of the people.

Citing the issue of shortage of essential products in the country, Oli appealed to all parties to help the government resolve the issue.
