Aamir Khan, who gave up smoking early this year, has again given in to the habit, courtesy pre-release nervousness for his much awaited film 'Dangal.'

When media questioned him on the same, the 51-year-old actor clarified, "I am not happy about the fact that I smoke. I try not to smoke. But whenever the release date of my films are near, I take up smoking because I undergo tension. Later I even quit it."

"Smoking does not affect acting; it affects the stamina and health," he told media here.

On a related note, the same had happened during the release of 'PK,' 'Dhoom 3' and 'Talaash,' where he started smoking due to anxiety.

But what's admiring here is, as Aamir's son Azad doesn't like his father smoking, he is just not allowed to light cigarette anywhere close to his four-year-old son.

When the actor was asked whether he will visit friend Salman Khan's show 'Bigg Boss' for promotion of 'Dangal', the actor stated, "I am not going on TV for promotions. We are having our ads and trailers screened on TV, but I am not going to any show for promotion."

Along with promoting his upcoming film, slated to release on December 23, Aamir hinted at his look from next project, 'Thugs Of Hindostan.'

"My new all-beard look is a part of preparation of 'Thugs Of Hindostan,' with Amitabh Bachchan. But this is not the final look, of course. The final look will be out after two months," he said.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, 'Dangal' also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others.
