U.S. Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump won the New Hampshire Republican primary despite being scorn by many in the political establishment.
According to the Guardian, with two exceptions, every Republican nominee in the past 50 years has won the Granite State's first-in-the-nation primary.
Trump's success in New Hampshire came despite his controversial remarks that would have normally sunk the campaigns of any other candidate.
Throughout his presidential bid, Trump has constantly courted controversy by making incendiary remarks, yet none of the controversies have affected his standing in the polls.
