Manchester United's new manager David Moyes is reportedly planning to lure Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas at 25 million pounds.
Fabregas is seen as a replacement to Paul Scholes after his retirement as Moyes identified midfield as an area that he wants to strengthen, Express.co.uk reports.
According to the report, Fabregas, who had been transferred from Arsenal at 35 million pounds to Barcelona two years ago, had strived to impose himself at the Nou Camp but in vain.
The report said that Fabregas is likely to join United with his old Arsenal team-mate Robin van Persie already at the club, even amid speculations that Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger might try to bring Fabregas back.
Moyes will shift his attention to Real Madrid's midfielder, 30 million pounds-rated Luka Modric if he fails to lure Fabregas, the report added.
