At least six people were killed by Pakistani security forces in a remote northwestern valley near the Afghan border in a new offensive.
The Inter-Services Public Relations in a statement said that all the six killed in the Khyber region were terrorists, reports the Express Tribune.
In the latest leg of offensive against the Pakistani Taliban and its allies that began in 2014, the army launched air and ground operations in the Rajgal valley last week.
The country has been battling militants who want to impose a strict version of Islamist law.
Earlier, Army chief General Raheel Sharif declared that lack of progress on implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) has damaged for the progress of ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Since August 16, the military says it has killed at least 31 people in coordinated ground and air strikes in the Rajgal area.
Both Islamabad and Kabul have accused each other repeatedly of not doing enough to stop the movement of militants across the border.
