People should now pull back their harness of hopes, as, according to director Sam Mendes, who will take the final call on the next James Bond.
Speaking at a literature festival, the 'Skyfall' director said, "It's not a democracy. Producer Barbara Broccoli decides who is going to be the next Bond, end of story," reports the Independent.
The 50-year-old director added "whatever happens with it, it will not be what you expect."
This now puts a strong favour that a candidate like Jamie Bell may be the more likely choice, who is recently reported to have been in conversations with Broccoli about taking over the role.
