The NITI Aayog is preparing a roadmap for the development of the eastern and north eastern states of the country.
This information was given by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Planning Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
Singh said that the development of physical and social infrastructure, sustainable utilization of natural resources, expeditious implementation of the projects to improve road, rail, air, waterways connectivity, enhancement in agriculture productivity, promotion of organic farming, expansion of digital/telecom network, etc. are some of the important sectors which have been identified for this purpose.
