A Saudi was convinced that his wife loved father's camel more the than she loved him, ad was so offended by it that he divorced her over the issue.
The couple was visiting the wife's family's house in Riyadh where he flirted with her to show his love, however, the wife reportedly told him that though he was dear to her, but not as much as her father's camel "Al Waleef", Gulf News reported.
Shocked by her statement, mainly because she said it in front of her brothers, the husband chose to stay quiet at the time, but on their way home, the wife kept talking about the camel, saying that her father didn't sell it, despite being offered a high price for it, which offended the husband more, but he still preferred not to comment.
It was when the husband took his wife to the area where her father kept his camels recently, where after seeing her admiration for the camel, he told her that he was divorcing.
The husband reportedly said that his wife was an animal who did not deserve to live among humans and that her natural place was among camels where she could be close to Aleef.
The act has received mixed comments, where while the man was largely criticized for breaking a marriage over a trivial matter, some people also hailed him for teaching his "arrogant" wife a lesson in showing respect for her husband.
Meanwhile, several comments also blamed the two spouses for failing to rise to high moral standards and not showing enough respect for each other.
