'Old Yeller' star Kevin Corcoran dies at 66

'Old Yeller' child star Kevin Corcoran passed away on October 6 in Santa Monica, California at the age of 66.

The actor, who played the youngest son in the classic 1957 drama and went on to work as a producer on TV series, such as 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'The Shield,' died after battling colorectal cancer for five years, reported E! Online.

Paying tribute to the actor, the maker of the hit-series Shawn Ryan tweeted, "Corcoran was a delightful person and producer, including on The Shield."

Corcoran is survived by his wife of 43 years, Laura, and four siblings.
